  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR EDITING THIS FILE

  3. DATA FILE FOR MCINSTAL.EXE PROGRAM
  4. This file is organized as follows:
  5.  
  6.      DESCRIPTION~DEVICE~EXTRA
  7.  
  8. DESCRIPTION is the description which will appear on the
  9. screen during the MCINSTAL.EXE program.  
  10.  
  11. DEVICE is the device driver name which will be appENDed to 
  12. ?:\MCADAM\DRIVERS and be inserted into the user config.sys file. 
  13.  
  14. EXTRA is applicable to printers/plotters and the mouse.
  15. In the case of printers/plotters EXTRA=exact mode command
  16. specification for the printer or plotter.  If this information
  17. is left blank then MCINSTAL will ask the user for COM port
  18. information like baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits.
  19. In the case of mouse EXTRA=M for mouse or T for tablet,
  20. if it is blank M (mouse) is assumed.
  21. THE TILDEN (~) CHARACTER IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

  23. If you make changes, make sure the description field does
  24. not exceed 60 characters or the mcinstal.exe program
  25. will overflow during display.

  27. Comments can be entered but they must occur OUTSIDE the
  28. BEGIN/END sequence or they will appear in the device list,
  29. if they occur within the BEGIN/END sequence start them with
  30. the # character.

  98. The following section (DRIVERS) should be used for names of special
  99. drivers within MICRO CADAM which do not have the extension .SYS.
  100. MCINSTAL will copy these drivers in the directory \MCADAM\DRIVERS
  101. when it copies all the .SYS drivers, and it will copy this driver
  102. into the C:\MCADAM directory for boot up purposes.

  111. can enter information about his system into MCINSTAL and
  112. using the following data, it will be remembered and when
  113. they bring it up later the information will be recalled
